RSVSR Where Moss Grows Fast on Dam Battlegrounds

Moss is one of those materials you ignore once, then regret it the minute your teammate drops ten metres from the lift. It barely weighs anything, so there's no real excuse to leave it behind, especially when you're still building up your stash of medical tools. If you're sorting your early ARC Raiders Items and wondering what's actually worth carrying, Moss should be near the top of the list. Defibrillators, emergency heals, squad saves during messy extracts — it all starts to matter fast when a quiet run turns into gunfire and alarms.

Why Formicai Hills is the safer call

If you want Moss without turning every run into a coin toss, head north and work around Formicai Hills. It's not empty, of course. Nowhere on Dam Battlegrounds ever feels completely safe. Still, this area tends to be calmer than the big loot spots, and that matters when you're farming instead of hunting. Check the damp ground, roots, muddy banks, and small patches of low vegetation. Don't sprint through it like you're late for extraction. Slow down a bit, sweep the edges, and you'll start spotting Moss tucked into places you'd normally run past.

A simple farming loop that doesn't feel awful

One route I like is to start high around the hills, make a loose circle, then cut through nearby natural cover before deciding whether to push deeper into the map. You won't always leave with a backpack full of Moss, but you'll usually get enough to make the run feel worth it. The nice part is the weight. You can keep grabbing it while still saving space for weapons, parts, and whatever odd scrap you came in for. If another squad shows up, you've also got room to move instead of being trapped inside a building.

When the Hydroponic Dome is worth the risk

The Hydroponic Dome Complex is where things get faster, but also much uglier. Moss can show up around plant systems, damp rooms, containers, and overgrown sections where the place looks half-lab, half-swamp. The downside is obvious. Players go there because the loot is good, and good loot brings trouble. If you're solo or carrying cheap gear, maybe dip in, grab what you can, and leave before the shooting starts. With a squad, it can be a strong second stop after Formicai Hills, especially if you're also chasing industrial materials.

What to grab while moving between spots

Don't ignore small settlements, baskets, and Raider camps while rotating. Moss can appear there too, though it's less dependable. During lush bloom conditions, these side finds get a lot better, and you'll notice more vegetation-based drops spread across places that usually feel dry. I wouldn't build a whole route around random containers, but they're worth checking if they're already on your path. The better habit is simple: farm the quiet ground first, gamble on the Dome only when it makes sense, and keep enough ARC Raiders items/Material ready so one bad revive doesn't turn into a lost raid.
