This guide breaks down the biggest quality-of-life improvements, balance changes, and itemization updates that could make Season 15 one of Diablo 4's strongest seasons yet.

Easy Quality-of-Life Wins for Season 15

Make War Plans Account-Wide

One of the biggest barriers to creating alternate characters is having to complete War Plans separately for every class.

Making War Plans account-wide would:

Encourage players to level multiple classes.
Reduce repetitive seasonal grinding.
Improve long-term character progression.

This is already something Blizzard has acknowledged, making it one of the most anticipated Season 15 improvements.

Expand Stash Space

Inventory management has become increasingly frustrating.

Between:

Set items
Charms
Seals
Mythics
Crafting materials

Current stash tabs fill up far too quickly.

Additional stash pages, larger stash tabs, or quad-tab style storage would immediately improve the overall gameplay experience.

Bring Back the Pit Protection Bubble

The removal of the Pit's safety bubble after clearing a run created unnecessary frustration.

Instead of relaxing while upgrading Glyphs, players can now be interrupted by leftover monsters or random projectiles.

Restoring this feature would remove an annoyance without affecting game balance.

Improve Mythic Crafting Instead of Increasing RNG

Mythic Upgrading Is Moving in the Right Direction

One confirmed Season 15 change is that upgrading a Unique into a Mythic will preserve the original item's affixes.

Instead of receiving an entirely random Mythic item, players will keep:

Greater Affixes
Tempered stats
Existing item quality

This makes investing in strong base items much more rewarding.

Bring Back Target Mythic Crafting

The current Mythic crafting system is almost entirely random.

Players often spend valuable resources only to receive Mythics they never intended to use.

A better solution would be bringing back targeted crafting, allowing players to eventually craft specific Mythic items through expensive recipes.

The process should remain costly, but progression should feel deterministic rather than entirely luck-based.

Focus on Mythic Quality Instead of Quantity

Season 14 greatly increased Mythic drop rates, particularly from the Reaper boss.

The issue isn't obtaining Mythics—it's finding good ones.

Rather than flooding players with mediocre Mythics featuring random affixes, Blizzard could reduce drop frequency slightly while making each drop significantly more valuable.

Make Iconic Mythics Feel Powerful Again

Several legendary Mythics no longer feel exciting.

Items like:

Harlequin Crest (Shako)
Oath of Perdition
Shroud
Other classic Mythics

have gradually lost much of their identity through repeated nerfs.

Instead of simply increasing their stats, Blizzard could give each Mythic a unique defining mechanic that no Legendary item can replicate.

Examples include:

Massive cooldown reduction on Harlequin Crest
Huge critical strike bonuses
Powerful all-stat bonuses
Exclusive build-enabling effects

Iconic items should once again feel like true chase rewards.

Buff Weak Builds Instead of Nerfing Popular Ones

Don't Punish Fun Builds

Many players expect Whirlwind Barbarian nerfs in Season 15.

However, Whirlwind isn't even the strongest Barbarian build.

Rend and Charge currently outperform it in many endgame scenarios.

Rather than nerfing popular farming builds, Blizzard should focus on making weaker builds competitive.

Bring More Skills Into the Meta

Many abilities remain virtually unused.

For Barbarian alone, builds centered around:

Upheaval
Frenzy
Bash
Flay
Lunging Strike

have fallen far behind the current meta.

Instead of reducing the effectiveness of Whirlwind or Rend, improving these neglected skills would create far greater build diversity.

Improve Class Balance Across the Board

Several classes continue to lag behind top performers.

Season 15 should focus on improving weaker classes instead of reducing the strength of enjoyable ones.

Areas needing attention include:

Necromancer endgame performance
Paladin progression
Warlock scaling
Sorcerer build diversity

Rather than limiting Sorcerers to one dominant Fire build, Lightning, Frost, Blizzard, Frozen Orb, Ball Lightning, and Lightning Spear should all remain viable endgame options.

Improve Loot, Filters, and Endgame Rewards

Better Loot Filter Options

The loot filter still has several frustrating limitations.

Useful additions include:

Filter six-slot Seals separately
Ignore lower-quality Seals
Prevent filtered items from being mailed to stash
More customizable filter conditions

These changes would dramatically reduce inventory clutter.

Make More Materials Auto Pickup

Some crafting materials are automatically collected while others still require manual pickup.

Season 15 should standardize auto-looting for materials such as:

Volatile Primordial Dust
Scattered Prisms
Cube crafting materials
Restoration Scrolls

This would streamline farming without affecting gameplay balance.

Improve Endgame Activities

Skip Early Echoing Hatred Waves

Highly geared characters currently must clear dozens of trivial waves before reaching meaningful difficulty.

Starting Echoing Hatred on Torment 12 should begin much deeper into the event, eliminating unnecessary downtime.

Increase Mephisto Rewards

Compared to the Reaper boss, Torment 12 Mephisto feels underwhelming.

Improving:

Mythic drop rates
Mythic Seal rewards
Exclusive loot

would make Mephisto a worthwhile endgame target.

Make War Plan Rewards Worth Chasing

While War Plans provide useful progression, many reward nodes feel disappointing.

Higher-value rewards, improved Gold payouts, better crafting materials, and more meaningful seasonal bonuses would make completing War Plans far more satisfying.

Reduce RNG in Transfiguration

The Horadric Cube's Transfiguration system currently relies too heavily on luck.

The biggest frustration comes from items becoming permanently Indestructible, effectively ending further crafting.

Reducing the chance of failed Transfigurations—or removing this outcome entirely—would make high-end crafting feel rewarding instead of excessively punishing.

Improve Combat Balance

Certain enemy affixes remain disproportionately dangerous.

Even characters with extremely high Toughness can still be instantly killed by specific Lightning effects or overlapping on-death explosions.

These unavoidable one-shot mechanics should be toned down so that survival depends more on player decisions than unpredictable damage spikes.

Final Thoughts

Season 15 doesn't necessarily need sweeping redesigns to D4 Items become a great update. Many of the most requested improvements are straightforward quality-of-life changes that would significantly improve the overall experience.
