RSVSR What the ARC Raiders April Update Adds Bishop Boss Prep

By now, most extraction shooters have taught us the same lesson: grab loot, keep your head down, pray the evac holds. ARC Raiders still feels different, though. Maybe it's the way Speranza hums like a real safe haven, or how every trip out into the wrecked world turns into a tiny survival story you'll end up telling your mates later. With April's "Riven Tides" update on the calendar, people are already planning loadouts and arguing routes, and you can see why—especially with the Bishop on the way and the usual scramble for ARC Raiders Coins getting even more cutthroat.

Why the Bishop changes the mood

Regular ARC patrols are stressful, sure, but they're readable. You learn the tells. You learn when to run. The Bishop looks like it won't play by those rules. In the teasers it doesn't just "appear," it arrives—multi-legged, slow on purpose, like it owns the desert. Then the beams start. Terrain gets carved up, sightlines get wiped, and suddenly your nice little plan turns into panic math. Do we keep pushing for one more crate? Do we peel off and live? That's the kind of pressure that makes a raid feel like a proper event, not just another spin of the same wheel.

Players aren't sold on the look, but they're watching

The funniest part is the debate. Some folks are already moaning, "Another spider?" and yeah, we've stomped plenty of leggy nightmares. People want stranger shapes—something serpentine, or pack hunters that herd you into bad ground. Still, scale counts. When a thing is tall enough to blot out your landmarks, it doesn't matter if it's got eight legs or ten. And there's old talk from early builds—players boosting up to hit weak spots, coordinating climbs, calling targets. We don't have jetpacks now, but it sounds like that idea survived. Expect a fight where angles matter, timing matters, and one person panicking can get the whole squad wiped.

Loot is the bait, survival is the real prize

Everyone says they're going in "for the experience," but come on. The Bishop's expected to cough up rare blueprints, a fat stack of coins, and the kind of crafting materials you don't just casually find in a busted supermarket. Energy-resistant armor, higher-output guns, upgrades that actually move the needle—people will risk everything for that. The trick is making it out after the kill, because that's when other crews will smell blood. You'll win the boss fight and still lose the run if you get greedy or linger.

Getting ready without burning out

Between now and April, most veterans will do the same three things: map safer extracts, practise quick comms, and stockpile so a bad night doesn't empty the stash. If you're short on currency for crafting or you just want to avoid endless grind sessions, some players also look at services like RSVSR to top up game currency or items in a way that keeps their focus on raids instead of spreadsheets, and that's only going to be more tempting once the Bishop starts turning "one more run" into a real gamble.
